We live in a world that glorifies the grind.
Hustle. Achieve. Do more. Make more.
We're taught that our worth is measured by productivity, achievements, or status.
There's this notion that if we're not producing, we're failing.
If we're not achieving, we're falling behind.
In many ways, the world conditions us to place our power outside of ourselves.
And somewhere along the way, we forget how powerful we truly are.
When you turn that power inward, everything changes.
You stop living life on autopilot and start showing up as a conscious creator. Raising your vibration is how you take the wheel back.
Understanding Vibration
So, what exactly is your vibration?
Your vibration is your energetic state. It's the way you think, feel, and show up in the world.
Every thought, emotion, and action carries a frequency.
According to the Law of Vibration, everything in the Universe is in constant motion, vibrating at its own frequency.
Everything.
The trees. The stars. You. Me. All of it is energy in motion. This includes your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs too.
Your internal state doesn't just influence your reality; it helps to shape it.
The frequency you carry pulls in people, experiences, and patterns that match it.
Now don't get me wrong. Life is going to life. Hard times will come. Things will happen that are out of your control. That's inevitable. You can't always avoid the lows, but you can choose how you rise from them.
So how do you actually raise your vibration?
Here are some great ways you can shift your energy, raise your frequency, and come back into alignment even when life starts... lifing.
1) Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is a portal. When you focus on what you’re grateful for, you're signaling to the Universe that you're open to receive more. It doesn't have to be big. Start small. Take a few moments to reflect on 5–10 things you're thankful for.
Pro Tip: You can also use gratitude to manifest too. Thank the Universe for what you desire as if it’s already yours.
What I like to do is script. I'll journal and write things like:
- "I'm so grateful for the soul-aligned community that supports me."
- "Thank you for the abundance that flows to me effortlessly."
- "I'm so grateful to be making money doing what I love."
It puts you in alignment with those things that you desire and shifts your frequency into receiving mode.
2) Listen to High-Vibe Music
Music is medicine for the soul. It shifts your mood, releases stuck energy, and elevates your vibration instantly. You ever notice how fast your mood can shift based on what you're listening to? One minute I'm getting crunk to Lil' Jon, and the next minute Billie Eilish comes on and I'm staring out the car window like I'm in a moody indie film.
Make yourself a high-vibe playlist. Play it when your energy is low. Here are a few of my personal favorites:
- Imma Be - Black Eyed Peas
- Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield
- A Sky Full of Stars - Coldplay
- Strut - The Cheetah Girls
- Fantasy - Earth, Wind, and Fire
Music is energy and energy is power. Use it wisely.
3) Nourish Your Body
Your body is your home. Treat it with care and respect.
Stay hydrated. Eat vibrant, Earth-grown foods and herbs. Fuel your body with things that help it thrive.
We're not going to get it right all the time. We're human. I love a good cheat day at Chick-fil-A too. (Balance, ladies and gentlemen!)
Don't be hard on yourself. Just be more mindful and do what you can.
Move your body. Stretch. Rest when you need to. Get fresh air.
When you nourish yourself, you raise your vibration. You align with vitality, clarity, and self-respect.
4) Self-Care
Self-care isn’t a luxury. It's a spiritual practice.
Sometimes it looks like a candlelit bath or a quiet moment with your favorite book. Other times, it’s setting boundaries, putting your phone to DND, or simply walking in nature.
Whatever self-care looks like for you, let it be intentional. Let it be an act of devotion to your energy.
Investing in yourself helps you hold more light, even in the dark moments.
5) Create
The art of creating is sacred. It aligns you with Source energy. When you create, you return to your true essence.
As a child, all I wanted to do was create. Some of my happiest memories are rooted in those moments of creating. Even now, when I make time to create, I feel more alive and in tune with my soul.
So, think back:
What did joy look like before the world told you to be practical?
What made you lose track of time? What made your heart light up?
Do more of that. Reclaim your joy. Don't be afraid to play. Express yourself freely.
Because every time you create, you raise your vibration.
You weren’t made just to survive the grind.
